The challenge

mindverse is a fan project for viewers of Korean brain-survival shows like The Genius, The Devil's Plan, and University War. Fans wanted to play the games they watched, but existing fan sites covered one game each. The owner wanted one phone-first site with show-faithful rules for many games, and a way to play them with friends.

See the live site at mindverse.

What we built

  • Phone-first game site with a star map for each show, plus rules, strategy, and FAQ for every game
  • Game engine with show-faithful rules, AI opponents, and daily puzzles with shareable results
  • Online rooms and party mode to play with friends, no account needed
  • Forum with Google login, player stats, and a leaderboard
  • Full Korean translation with hreflang, game structured data, and a clean sitemap
  • Ad slots placed around the games, never inside them

What we ran

  • English and Korean SEO for game rules, strategy, and show-name searches
  • Launch posts for each new game in Reddit, Discord, and fan communities
  • Shareable daily puzzle results that bring new players in every day
  • Ad revenue tuning across placements without slowing down the games

Results

  • 65,000 monthly players within 4 months of launch
  • 38% of players return within a week, driven by the daily puzzle
  • Top 3 rankings for 9 show-game rule searches in English and Korean
  • 42 games built, with 9 live and more released one at a time
